What is Kybella?

KYBELLA® is used to treat submental fat under the chin, lower buttocks, back (for bra bulges), armpits, inner knees, and lower belly. The active ingredient in KYBELLA®, deoxycholic acid, is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into submental fat,  KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal. Typically, 1-3 treatments are needed to achieve the desired results.

Downtime & Results

Common reactions to Kybella include swelling, bruising, tenderness, numbness, and redness in the treated area, which can last from a few days to a few weeks.Kybella begins working immediately, but due to swelling, it may take 4-6 weeks to see improvement. Typically, 2-4 treatments are needed for full results.
